The Renew – AHA Renewal Serum

Yes. The Renew is an active exfoliating serum powered by lactic acid (AHA). That means it actively increases skin cell turnover to improve texture, tone, and clarity.

Because it’s an active, it should be used intentionally—not daily, and not layered carelessly with other strong treatments.

Vitamin C, retinol, and AHAs are all actives, and layering them together increases the risk of irritation and barrier disruption.

Instead, rotate:

• Use Vitamin C in the morning or on non-exfoliation days
• Use The Renew at night on its own
• Use retinol on separate nights

Simple rotation = better results, calmer skin.

Actives work by triggering change in the skin. When too many are layered together, the skin doesn’t “work harder”—it gets overwhelmed.

Separating actives allows each one to do its job effectively while giving your skin time to recover and rebuild.

When used correctly, it should not. Overuse and combining with other actives are the main cause of sensitivity with exfoliants.

Hydration and barrier support.

After exfoliation, your skin benefits most from calming, hydrating products that help replenish moisture and reinforce the skin barrier.

Avoid layering additional actives the same night.
